WINEMAKER NOTES

Dark crimson. The nose reveals fresh blackberries and clove spice which combine with earthy, savoury aromatics. Super fine mouth coating tannins wrap around core of blue/black fruit. The flavours on the palate are driven by a vein of minerality that provides exceptional length.

VINEYARD

Block 3 of our Tellurian vineyard growing in Cambrian soils formed over 500 million years. Deep, rich, decomposed greenstone rock and limestone with soil depths between 1.2 to 2m allow roots to reach deep, while relatively low fertility controls vigor and yield.

VINTAGE

2014 season started with good winter rainfall followed by a dryer than average spring. Despite lack of rain, vine growth was good, and thanks to the fine weather, good fruit set. Warm days in January and February
