This medium bodied wine was obtained by carefully blending right amounts of Sangiovese and Shiraz. These batches of grapes, sourced from the Heathcote wine region, and The Yarra Valley were vinified and aged separately for 10 months in mature French oak barrels, to then being blended before bottling.
No fining or filtration has been used, ensuring the fruit’s integrity and character has not been compromised. This wine nicely combines the bright red fruit and freshness of Sangiovese, with the more earthy and spicy notes of Shiraz, which also adds more weight on the palate, delivering balance, elegancy and complexity.
