Grown in Ordovician period clay loams over sandstone and shale.
Aspect – north east.
Fermented using a portion of whole bunches in open fermenters.
18 months maturation in new French oak barriques.
Unfined and unfiltered.
Serve between 13°c and 16°c.
1804 bottles filled.

“Inky wine of depth and power, ripe plummy fruit, firm, graphite and stone tannins, brisk acidity and a big sense of richness and depth. Quite seriously grippy and yet also quite lush, this does a lot of things at the heftier end of the shiraz landscape, but feels balanced, intriguing, quite elemental and surprisingly savoury.
